Project Description
Engineering
Students enrolling in Engineering learn to design in 2 and 3 dimensions. They have an opportunity to earn money their senior year, while they are in class, design products for companies around the world, and receive an opportunity to earn up to 30 free college credits. Engineering students have done work for Thermodisk, MKC, and Gorman Rupp.
Engineering
Joining the Engineering program will assist you in either preparing you for a position straight out of High School or giving you a head start into College. Through the Engineering program you will earn FREE college credits which will give you a step up on the other students who did not take advantage of the Career Tech Programs.
Individuals interested must be motivated to learn, follow directions, gets hands on training, be career minded, able to work in groups and as individuals, and have a strong academic background.
Training will include:
CAD Software
– High Tech 2D and 3D Computer Software.
3D Printer
– Students will have the opportunity to print there designs out in ABS plastic.
Group Projects
– Learning in groups and as individuals to create prototypes for the community and school district.
Hands on Training
– There will be assignments in the classroom and in the community to see prototypes and plans in person.
